$1.7 Million Verdict – Multiple Injuries to Motorcycle Rider in Accident

October 15, 2010 – Congratulations to Anthony T. Martino, Esq.  and  Anthony D. Martino, Esq. of Clark & Martino, P.A. for their recent verdict of $1.7 million to a 27-year veteran firefighter from Tampa, FL. The firefighter was seriously injured while riding his motorcycle when a ‘94 Cadillac stuck his motorcycle. The accident left the plaintiff with severe injuries. The defense made a claim that the plaintiff Jack Russell terrier, who was riding on the plaintiff’s motorcycle on a custom built platform, was a distraction and caused the accident.

The jury award $2.1 million, but the comparative negligence lowered the award to $1.7 million.
